Yes… a part of fashion I’m not sure I have spoken about since I started this blog. This part is the “consulting” part in the Martwayne logo. Not sure if many of you know but part of what we do at Martwayne is teach people how to use fashion as a tool for personal and business success. Business Image Consulting to be precise. 😉
Of course many of us know that first impressions count. It can make or mar our careers, businesses or even dates. So what we do is teach people how to get where they want to get to simply by using their dressing and creating that excellent first impression. Yup! Fashion does go a lot further than just sewing.
I have always wondered why people dress the way they do. Obviously personal preferences have a lot to do with our choices but has anyone wondered what exactly affects our choices? Whilst many blame the media, others blame low funds. But I have always been a believer in not spending so much money to look good. You can look smashing at a fraction of the budget.
One thing I do know is that many of us do not know our dress or underwear sizes (and I’m referring to the ladies here…). The standard lady in this environment is a “34B” – perhaps because that’s what’s available in the market. Others who know live in self denial. They would rather squeeze into clothes 2 sizes down than admit to themselves that they have gained weight. Now losing weight really is the way forward seeing it is cheaper than changing your whole wardrobe. BUT in the event whereby you are unable to lose weight for various reasons, you can choose your wardrobe carefully to help accentuate your best features and hide your errr…. “areas of concern”.
SO anywayz… why am I saying all this?!
